Some of the topics discussed were:
Keeper Day – Setting aside a time for special Goal Keeping training for all age groups.
Mentor Practices – Setting up times at the end of practice where older players can “buddy” with younger players and work with each player one-on-one while in a group.
Indoor Soccer – Winter indoor soccer will begin on December 3rd. Friday nights and Sunday afternoons. Times will be announced. Also two special girls training sessions with Dan Hayes and Bruce Parker will be announced. Price for Winter Indoor Soccer is $15.00. Price for special training sessions will be announced.

With the close of the fall soccer season upon us, we again look forward to a traditional All-Star games with Greene County All Star players. This year there will be two games with Greene vs Madison U-10 Girls All Stars and U-10 Boys All Stars. The event started in the Spring of 2009 and has been a big success and a lot of fun for the coaches and kids.
Please come out and support your All Stars!
Where: Greene Rec Fields (directions below)
Date: November 13th, 2010
Time: Girls All Stars play at 1:00 - Boys All Stars play at 2:30
Directions: From Madison 29 South to 230 west (at the Sheetz).
Follow 230 west until it intersects with Business 33 and make a left at the stop sign (you’ll see a Pottery store there towards the right at that intersection).
Follow Business 33 (east) up to the traffic light where it intersects Bypass 33. Go straight through that light (road becomes Swift Run Road as you pass over Bypass 33), then make your first left hand turn on Mays Road (you’ll see a sign on the right side that lets you know the Community Park is to the left as well as the Animal Shelter).
Come down that road maybe a quarter of a mile, you’ll pass through an open gate and you’ll be able to see the recycling center straight ahead . . . before you go through the second gate, you’ll see the big sign on the left hand side for Greene County Community Park.
Make that left into the park and follow that road all the way up and around, it ends at the parking lot for the soccer fields.
Due to the amount of rain received so far, the soccer fields will be closed to practice today, Wednesday, October 27th!!
Coaches: Brenda Aylor will be at the entrance to the school tomorrow and Friday from 5:30 to 6:00 with pictures and trophies.
If you cannot stop by, please send a parent of assistant coach.
The U-10 schedules have changed so please take a look at the new, updated version.
Here is a link to the new updated schedule.
This Saturday 9/18, Brian Wilson will be on hand to lead the first 20 minutes of each Saturday session. He will be on hand to help with the 20 minute game portion of each session also. Brian is a nationally licensed coach and experienced in training younger players. Pick his brain, steal his games, make these sessions work for you too.
We are moving some fields around so here is a map to help you find the field you will be playing on.
A permanent map will be placed under the About Us section of this site.
This past Saturday an enthusiastic group of people gathered on the new Madison, Virginia soccer fields and volunteered their time and energy for the improvement of the playing fields. Along with hard work there was a lot of fun to be had by all.
The largest rock award went to Jim Landolt. Assisting the adults were lots and lots of kid help. Others who attended were Bruce Parker(not pictured), Yates Sealander, Lisa Warren, Maya Roberts, Chris Newman, Danny Criglar, Fred Santinga and Steve Gohn.
The next volunteer day is Sunday, August 29th at 1:00.
Please come and if you can, bring a friend. Thanks to your efforts our kids will play safer.
