Purpose: to provide an opportunity for the development in creative play
of high-school girls soccer players

The Program will focus on technical aspects of foot skills: dribbling, passing, and receiving and tactical applications in small group play. Points of emphasis will be the creation and exploitation of meaningful attacking space and the constructive use of overall trickery.

The Program will conclude with a 2v2 Tournament
(for all participants with 60% attendance rate at sessions)

Sessions will be conducted by :
Dan Hayes, US Soccer- and NSCAA- licensed coach with 10 years of experience coaching Youth and High School soccer in central Virginia
Bruce Parker, US Soccer- and NSCAA-licensed coach, current assistant
at Madison County High School

UVA is playing West Virginia and Duke in a Double Header this Friday night, September 11th at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville.  The UVA Women will be playing West Virginia University at 6:00 p.m.  followed by the UVA men playing Duke University at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are $4.00 for kids under 14 who wear their soccer jerseys.

Directions:
Take Route 29 south into Charlottesville (Emmet St.). Turn right at Massie Rd. Go to the next stoplight and turn left onto Copeley Rd.

We are leaving at 4:15 from the Food Lion Parking lot.

The teams have been chosen for the Fall 2009 Soccer Season.  Your team coaches should be contacting you soon about practice times.  Have a great season!

There will be a clinic free to any age soccer player by the team from Brazil.

When: Monday August 10th starting at 9:00 am (register at the field)
Brenda Aylor will also be at the fields taking registration for Fall Soccer.

Other News: There will be an exhibition game that night at 6:30 between the team from
Brazil and a team of our own Madison players.  (this is great fun to
watch!!)

Deadline: Registration deadline is August 10th for the fall season.
How: To register please go to the Parks and Rec building or meet Brenda Aylor at the soccer fields beside the Madison Primary School on Monday, August 10th starting at 9:00.
There will also be a Brazilian Soccer Clinic going on this day.

There will be a Goalkeeper training clinic Mondays  from
6:00-7:30 PM at Hoover Ridge near the Primary School.

This is  a regular weekly clinic and will run through the month of July.  The
clinics will be conducted by Dan Hayes.

Please come out to the field Monday ready to play.

Who: Kids and Adults are encouraged to come out to the fields for pick-up soccer games.
When: Tuesday nights and Sunday nights at 6:30 throughout the summer.

Madison county played Greene county in the first All-Star game.  The event was very successful and a lot of fun for everyone.
