Junior Skills Clinic
This clinic is for players in the 10-14 year old age group, with a focus on Technical Training. Players will train to use all surfaces of their feet, on the move, and under pressure. This will be done through a curriculum of competitive small-sided games, designed to encourage creativity with the ball. Coach Hayes offered this about the clinic, “The average player can do so much more with a ball than they give themselves credit for. With enthusiastic guidance we encourage them to realize that potential and increase their enjoyment and love of the game!
Location: Waverly Yowell Elementary School gym
Dates: Sundays in January and February 5:00-6:15 PM (beginning Sunday January 8th)
Cost: $40.00 (If you have already paid for indoor soccer the clinic cost is $25.00)
(Registration includes membership in Winter 2011/2012 Indoor Soccer program on Saturday evenings)
Players are to bring appropriate indoor footwear, shinguards, a #5 size ball and water.

Senior Skills Clinic
This clinic is for the competitive player in the 15-19 year old age groups. This clinic will have great emphasis on executing Technical Skill with the highest possible speed. Technical Training on all surfaces, under pressure, and changing pace during and after every skill performed. The competitive activities will focus on small-sided tactics. Throughout the clinic the players will learn a variety of warm-ups. These warm-ups have been proven over the last few years to drastically reduce the risk of injury to soccer player, specifically, knee and ankle injuries.

evenings and Sundays at Waverly Yowell Gym beginning Dec. 3, 2011 through February 2012. All
ages are eligible. Registration Fee is $15. Register at Madison County Facilities and
Recreation office upstairs in the War Memorial Building during regular business hours.

The Boys and Girls JV and Varsity Soccer teams are holding a car wash on August 20th from 10:00a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Madison High School.

Please attend and bring your dirty cars and trucks.  Your donations will help a great cause and your car will shine!

Thanks to Madison Wood for their donation to the Madison Parks & Rec Soccer.  In January the Parks & Rec Soccer Association needed a new shed and the generous people at Madison Wood Preserves stepped forward with the supplies.  There will be a team of volunteers gathering in mid-September to help build the shed.  The date will be announced.  Please plan to attend.

The fall soccer season has arrived and signups are going on now!

Signups are being held at the McDonalds on Tuesday, August 2nd from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Otherwise you can sign up with the Parks & Rec building on or before Thursday, August 4th.
Teams will be determined based on the number of people we have signing up.
